Kulturen Nu has reviewed the Danish premiere of THE RED ROOM opera from Aug 17-2023Given the 4 stars of force and expression in both music and performance.
KULTUREN NU: The Red Room is in many ways a modern version of a classic opera, but shorter and less monstrous. The music and lyrics are similarly classical/modernist and characterized by the same scarcity as performances in general. It is condensed, concentrated and intimate, typical of what is called a chamber opera.
